At Marquise of Guildford, the workshop is at the heart of the business. Every piece is manufactured as a one-off product for our customers.
Designing and producing fine jewellery is a process that consists of several phases. If the design of the piece allows, we work using proven traditional methods. In this case the artisan forges the item of jewellery using traditional tools at the jeweller's bench.
If a particular piece is more complex, we may opt for a computerised design and manufacturing process. This alternative allows us to go further than the traditional techniques would allow.
The computerised process provides us with the flexibility to immaculately execute very complex designs not previously possible with conventional methods. In effect, with this process there is no idea or design that is too difficult for us to implement.
Over the years we have been very lucky to assist our customers in their search for that special piece of stunning jewellery. In each case, we are delighted to take the customer through the exciting journey of designing the setting of the gemstone(s) together. In certain instances, we take the commission of finding that unique gem-stone. However, if you already have the gemstone(s) and need help in creating that particular mount which will bring it back to life, we are sure to be able to assist you. Take a look at these examples of previous commissions...
